For this project i created a cup like shaped pot. i made this by making a circle shaped slab and then adding coils on top until it was the right height. after adding the coils i smoothed out the sides so they were straight. after the pot dried a little i went back and carved a design in it. the design i created was many curved lines around the pot. At first i had thought about making the lines a purple color and then the lifted area black for a nice contrast. once i started glazing the pot i realised the lines i had created were too small and shallow so i decided to just create a softer design and i just painted the whole pot black including the lines. after seeing the final product i really like the way it turned out i do wish i had done the purple i think it would have looked really cool but in the end i think it is a very good design.
