Artist Research Assignment 

for this project we were asked to replicate a historical piece. i chose this bowl from 1st c BCE-5th c CE rome. this is one of my less proud works because i do not think i did a very good job making mine look like the picture the lip around the top is different than mine and the bottom of the pot has a foot/base on it and mine is less sharp and separate. to make this bowl i started with a slab base and then i added coils until the bowl was the right size. after adding the coils i smoothed out the sides and pushed the bottom out to try to replicate the way the picture bends.
