For this claw, it was a very hard process; it took me a long time to understand proportions and make it look realistic while also following a time period. I used Ms. Prays' claw, which she gave me as a reference, to help me make sure this was the best product I could create.
If I were to do this again, I would try to add a little more idents/make the claw look a little more rugged, so it had a little more character. I overal am very happy with the way this turned out. I feel as though it is very accurate to a real shell, and the glaze turned out amazing. Looking closely, I like to see all the holes and how the glaze settles through some of them.
I picked to make this claw because lobsters have a strong connection to all things water, and I knew that my family would be pleased with this outcome and use it for generations.
