Art Reflection- Foundations 

My experience in the class was not what I expected I used to like art a lot but in the past years my passion for art decreased and I stopped drawing. Yet when I heard that we needed an art credit I decided to join foundations, and I really enjoyed some of the art units, and enjoyed the class overall. Art has started to become fun to me again, and I want to continue next year into ceramics one and two. 

Some skills that I learned this year and hope to continue doing are watercolor, graphite, and painting. I want to continue to paint because I think that I've gotten really good at it, my color design and surrealism made it so I really liked painting. Watercolor, when I did the zoomed shoe project I decided to do watercolor because I wanted to get better at it. Overall the zoomed shoe didn't look like my best work, it was bleeding into other sections and the paint looked splotchy. So for my final project, I worked with watercolor and I think that it turned out really well. The colors look good and there is not as much bleeding or splotchy colors.  Lastly, I really liked graphite I think that my graphite drawing turned out really well, it looked somewhat like my picture. Although it took me a really long time I liked doing this project.

The most challenging project of this year was the mixed-media drawing, this was hard for me because I've never been very good at copying and pasting images, also this project was on a big piece of paper, and sizing up on a drawing was very difficult. 

Some goals I have for the summer are to continue drawing and painting, I hope to get more experience with different kinds of art as well.  Over this whole year, I have seen my art improve, and I think if I continue to work on some art over the summer, and hope that I continue to enjoy art and get better at it.
