Artist Statement"

My main idea for this project was inspired by Takashi Murakami's flowers that he did and wanted all of the colors to pop so I used a black background.

I first used a pencil to outline where I wanted the flowers to go then I went in with the black to paint the background and back and forth from painting the flowers to painting the background and leaves.

I painted the background first then went on to paint the vine and I started with the flowers halfway when I was done with this project I decided to add another vine to it.
