Bio:

This will be my 20th year teaching and my 6th year at Summit Trail. I started teaching in Wichita, KS where I taught PE for 4 years and Special Education for 2 years. My family and I moved back to the Olathe area in 2010 to be closer to our family and I taught PE at Oregon Trail for 8 years.

I was born and raised in Shawnee, KS and attended schools in the Shawnee Mission School District. I always knew I wanted to be a PE teacher. I attended JCCC and Pitt State and was very active in campus activities. I graduated from Pitt in Dec. 2003 and came back to the SMSD as a para working with students 18 to 21 years old with special needs for the Spring Semester.

In 2004, I got married and moved down to Wichita where my husband’s job was. My husband and I welcomed a daughter in 2006 and a son in 2008 to our family. We completed our party of 5 in 2013 when our youngest daughter was born. All three of our children are active in sports and keep us very busy. When we have free time, we love to spend time to together on our boat, playing with our dogs and watching/going to sporting events.
