Swimming
Below you will find information regarding our swimming unit.
All Olathe School District Middle Schools have a pool located inside their facility. Each PE department utilizes this space for their students.
Parents and students will be notified at least 1 week in advance prior to this unit.
2023-2024 SWIMMING INFORMATION:
In order for your child to participate during the 2023-2024 school year in swimming and water activities during Physical Education (PE) class, it is requested that you indicate below your consent for your child to participate. Although your child’s participation in this activity is highly encouraged, their participation is not mandatory. Your child’s teacher will arrange for alternative instruction and activities should you not provide permission during the 2023-2024 school year.
Please also know that all 4 PE teachers were certified in a Water Safety Course provided by the district.

What to Bring:
Swimsuit
1 piece swimsuit is recommended
2 piece swimsuit is acceptable
(we don't swim with the boys and we encourage a tank top/swim shirt if wearing a 2 piece
If your child does not have a swimsuit - they can use their PE uniform
Towel
Small pool bag for wet clothes
Optional: Goggles, Swim Cap
