In this project, each group had to make a string instrument, wind chimes, and chimes. In the end, the intruments should be able to play different octaves of notes and play music.
Blueprint
Ukuleles have higher pitched notes. Normally there are 4 strings, but there are 5 on this one to have more note range. The instrument is made out of wood. Each string has a different tension for the different notes. The front piece is one piece so it’s even. The screws on top are designed The higher up the tension on the string is, the higher the note. The smaller the wavelength, the higher the frequency.
Table of notes
2 things I did well on was my time management and my work ethic because I had a couple early releases and I still managed to finish my instrument. I had some trouble cutting the wood so that it was even, so I used cardboard as the body. On the last day, it broke right before class ended, so I went home and made a new one out of wood. Each string plays a different note, and the ukulele is more sturdy. 2 things I could improve on are my wood cutting skills and staying on task for the whole time.
