Design Step 3

As we moved onto the third phase of our capstone design process, our focus was shifted to making revisions to our previous project proposals, and continuing our research in order to identify specific components to incorporate in our project. We created a finalized project proposal as well as a slideshow presentation to present to members of the STEM board at San Marin to present our ideas, research findings, and progess we have made since we last gave our initial proposal. It was very helpful to get insight for our project and discuss things like design possibilities, cost estimates, and prototype progess.

In this step, I think our team made a lot of positive progess. We collaborated very well to make additions to our first prototype design, leaving us feeling good about moving on to our 2nd prototype. I also think we divided our work and effort very well to create a report and presentation that was very thorough. We recieved lots of positive feeback from the STEM board members and will continue to work hard and efficiently on our project as we move into the next phase.

I think we could have worked on our conscientious learning and been more organized. With many aspects of our project going on at once, I think our time management could have been better. It can be easy to get distracted, or even simply spend too much time on one part of our design or one assignment that the rest is not given as much time and effort as needed. We can improve on this as we move forward and set goals and timelines to complete specifc aspects by.
