STEM Senior Engineering

As we enter this new, and final, year of high school, it is time to delve into the world of engineering! Through the many different sciences I have been able to explore through the STEM program here at San Marin High School, I have discovered that some of my academic passions surround the science of our living world. Environmental science and biology have drawn me in more than any other course as I find a lot of my interest in nature and aspects of life on our planet. I feel that I could apply my biological and environmental interests to my final Capstone project and execute a mechanism or system to help wildlife, or benefit us or our environment in some way.

I have had a lot of musical experiences in my life, and some of my best skills are singing and dancing. I also enjoy hiking and walking my dogs, as I love to be outdoors and exercise. I am very skilled in my collaboration and have excellent social skills, as I love talking and working with other people!

As I work on my Capstone, I would love to try and get better at other artistic aspects such as drawing. While art in the form of music is something I excel at, sketching and drawing on paper is a skill that I could use some practice with. I also want to further my biological knowledge and information about our local environment through research in this project.

I hope to apply my skills and passions in the Capstone by focusing my project on nature and wildlife around us. Being in nature, working with a group of colleagues, and creating something beneficial to our environment are all aspects that are passions of mine, and I believe to be very achievable in this upcoming project.
