Overall, I thought this was a very good project. I enjoyed it and I learned many new concepts and information about design and building. One peak of the project, or good thing that occurred, was that I got to learn a lot more about building and the process that architects have to go through to design a building. I thought it was a really cool topic to learn about, and the way in which we got to learn about it was super interactive and fun. However, one bad thing that happened during the project was that my group mates were on vacation for a few days in the begging of the project. Because of this I had to do all the design work and blueprinting on my own, causing us to fall a little bit behind. Luckily I was able to catch up at home so that by the time they came back to school we were all caught up.
Two skills I did well with this project was leadership and being a conscientious learner. I was a great leader this project because I was the only one in my group who knew the exact plans and blueprints because my group members had been absent. I helped them understand what we were doing and our layout. I answered all their questions, and helped them with anything they needed help with. I was also a good conscientious learner because I set goals for myself that I made sure to achieve, and I took responsibility for my learning. However, next project I need to work on my communication skills and collaboration skills. I feel like I could have pushed my group to do more when they came back instead of doing all the work. I should have also tried harder to explain the blueprints and reasoning behind everything. All in all, this was a really fun project. I feel like I learned a lot of new concepts and information that I can carry with me for the rest of my life.
