Two things that I thought I did well on in this project was adapting to new circumstances and challenging my critical thinking. As stated previously, this project was changed drastically when school was moved into our homes. I don't think it made the project anymore difficult but it created a need for more leadership. This is because groups had to find ways to do things that they would usually do in the classroom on virtual communication apps like Facetime. I believe that I stepped up to this new circumstance of planning group Facetimes and facilitating from my bedroom pretty well. I made sure to setup a group chat and still encourage new innovative ideas for the rest of the project. The next thing I though I improved on during this project was challenging my critical thinking. To be completely honest this was probably the hardest project for me because I do not understand anything about music or notes. So making instruments was very difficult for me to wrap my head around. But the reason why I believe the group and I did so well was because we did things meticulously and asked questions.
One thing that I believe I could improve on for the next project is to follow directions better. When we first started building out instruments I thought that you instrument had to play 7 notes, rather than an octave. This circles back to my lack of knowledge in music. But after I finished my chime with 7 notes I noticed everyone else had 8 chimes. So I had to spend more time redoing my measurements and cutting new chimes. Next time I will make sure to know what an octave is before doing anything.
