HELLOOOO Needham High!!! We hope everyone is off to a great start in their first, second, third, or last first month of high school! We have a fantastic September edition for all our readers. Homework and uneven floor numbers and waterfall schedules, oh my! There is no contesting that ninth grade at Needham High is difficult. On the first day of school, new ninth graders are confronted with a lobby full of culture shock, and down every hallway and up every staircase is a new worry for the next 180 days.

Do you like to write? Enjoy taking photos? Love collaborating with other students? Want to interview students and faculty at NHS? If any or all of those ideas pique your interest, you should come learn more about the Hilltopper: Needham High School’s official student-run newspaper.

With only 25 minutes for lunch, walkable lunch places are essential. Whether you’re not in the mood to wait in the long lines in the cafeteria, or you didn’t have time to pack a lunch in the morning, don’t worry! There are plenty of great lunch places only a short walk away from Needham High…but beware of some not-so-great options.

Dreams of making it big in Hollywood are not a new concept. Many people at some point in their lives dream of seeing themselves on the silver screen or glamorously walking on the red carpet. It seems almost too good to be true that pretending to be a superhero can earn you millions of dollars. But in reality, only 2% of actors earn enough money to make a living.

Aliyah Borskiy, along with being an adored member of the Hilltopper staff, is a chic and original fashion icon. As we begin the new school year, I look forward to seeing her outfits every day!

Whether you aren’t able to visit a school in person, you’re still trying to find schools that you’re interested in, or you just want to learn more about specific schools, these visits are a great way to ask questions and get more information.

The beginning of the school year for many is an emotional time. Each of us has different feelings about the new chapter of our lives we are about to begin. My younger brother and sister are soccer fanatics, so despite my attempts to avoid the subject, our dinner table conversations often drift towards the realm of the sport. Often, I try to tune out the ever-lasting conversations; however, on one recent evening, I found myself sucked into the discussion. The topic? Saudi Arabia’s recent contracts with European league soccer superstars. The conversation left me longing for more information, and here is what I learned:
