Make sure nothing is blocking the microphone hole at the top of the Chromebook.
At the bottom right, select the time.
Next to the volume slider, select Audio settings .
Under “Input,” drag the microphone slider left or right so that it is at least in the middle.
While in Google Meet.
Check to make sure the your microphone is white (not red)
While in Google Meet.
Click on the Padlock to the left of the search bar.
Click the drop down to the right of Camera and Microphone and choose Allow.
Join a Google Meet Session
Click the 3 dots in the lower right corner and then Click Settings.
Choose a setting you want to change:
Microphone—Select your microphone device.
Speakers—Select your speakers. To test your speakers, click Test.
Click Done.
Close Google Chrome (close all Chrome windows and tabs)
Open Google Chrome
Go to your Google Classroom and try to rejoin the Google Meet Session
Make sure to allow your microphone
