I taught this lesson in distance learning. It was interesting to teach students a new concept, something that they were not familiar with. Students stayed engaged, and particiapted often. Break out rooms were interesting because I was able to see how a smaller group wroked through math problems, and was able to better help students who had questions or were confused.
This was the summative assignment that we had students complete after a 6-day simulation on Exploring the New World. Students kept a ship's log as they sailed West, battling storms, sickness, and mutiny. Students then had to creat a book on BookCreator containing their logs and drawings, and different pictures of their choosing. They could include woice recordings, Chatterpix... Students were excited for the opportunity to be creative and use this fun tool, which has so many options to create something unique.
