“It’s important to make sure that we’re talking with each other in a way that heals, not in a way that wounds.” - Barack Obama
Communication: The ability to successfully use interpersonal skills and components of literacy (reading, writing, speaking, and listening) to contribute to teaching, learning, and development.
Communication is such an important tool for students to get their point across and collaborate effectively. It is also an important skill when it comes to communication with your own feelings. Over my time at Dominican and during my fieldwork, I was able to observe different ways for students to stay in touch with the oresent and communicate their feelings, as well as learn skills to become valuable community members.
Checking in with our feelings daily, what is our mindset for the day will be very important in my classroom.
