Providing training for incoming tutors at Dominican University of California. Through providing training, this includes scenario-based prompts which may include tutor-tutee interaction conflicts or catering the tutoring sessions to their preferred learning style. Throughout the semester, two check-ins are held among the tutors to track the progression of their tutoring sessions and address common conflicts which arose to the Tutoring and Learning Center's supervisor.
Providing in-person and virtual tutoring sessions to students in the following courses:
Nursing Geriatric Foundation Lecture (October 2020-Present)
Medical-Surgical II Lecture (January 2021-May 2021)
Advances of Positive Psychology (October 2020-December 2020)
The tutoring sessions are provided through the Tutoring Learning Center where current Dominican University of California students can apply for tutoring. The tutoring sessions held are catered to the student's learning style to provide clarification and additional support such as practice questions and quizzes in preparation for the coursework.
