Creativity is a huge factor in every single subject taught in school so the question is- how do we create an equitable classroom that encourages creativity in each student?
A great tool for students both virtually and in person are e-books. They are straightforward to make and are a great opportunity for students to showcase their work and ideas in a digital book form.
I plan to use these in my future classroom, especially in lessons involving history, science, and social studies.
For my Climate and Curriculum in the Classroom final, we focused on integrating Art and Science in the third grade. The lesson focuses on students studying the decomposition process using food scraps and soil. By carefully studying and drawing their observations the third graders are developing their creative and scientific understanding!
