Collaboration is one of the most important factors in establishing a healthy and honest classroom environment with your students. Through collaboration, students can work with their peers and develop new ideas and strategies. It is vital to create a welcoming environment for all students to be able to participate in fully and develop important communication skills for the real world.
Finding creative solutions for student engagement and collaboration has been a big challenge throughout the last year of online teaching. Jamboard is a great free tool for teachers and students to use & collaborate both in the virtual and physical classroom.
Getting to work with other college students in Mexico during the Covid-19 Pandemic was a great opportunity to discuss and collaborate on a project that revolved around universal human themes.
Although they were adults, working with students in a different country that were English Language Learners was great practice for inside the classroom and out.
It was a great way to utilize the virtual classroom and learn about each others cultures and schools during a time when traveling at all is impossible.
