The tips I learned this week helped me succeed and survive in my studies. One of the tips said that we should find a friend to be a studying partner, make a study plan, and find our own method of learning. Using games, we are able to find our own way of learning, allowing us to find our own advantage. Moreover, they were invited to have an interview session on being productive and ways to learn effectively for a student. Since university life tends to get busy and all over the place, being productive becomes the main key to becoming a great student.
The games involve forming groups of six, and every two people in the group will receive a different way of learning, resulting in three names. During each round of this game, everyone in the group will be allowed to try a different method of learning to see which one works best for them. Based on the activity that we had, as a kinesthetic learner, my ability to learn new is based on my ability to approach the information through critical thinking and apply the concepts to real-life situations (past, present, or future). This approach allows me to retain information and learn new ideas, concepts, principles, and information actively and effectively. I was listening to the senior telling me a bit about a killing case during the game. Auditory is a method of learning that uses audio, such as hearing and listening. We were to guess who the killer was and how they killed the victim based on the information already given to four people in the group about the murder case. As for visual learning, taking notes is a favorite activity of visual learners. Due to their relative unawareness of sounds, they can be distracted by visual disorders or movement. Writing down their thoughts helps them plan and organize their thoughts, descriptions, and narratives to appeal to them.
In conclusion, having our own time and studying at the same time is also important. In addition to being unhealthy, studying constantly could lead to burnout. Additionally, students should engage in extracurricular activities to relieve stress and have fun. Our academic performance is affected by an effective learning habits. In addition to visual, audio, kinesthetic, and reading/writing learners, every student has different learning preferences and study strategies. Therefore, everyone should find a way to learn that is effective for them.
