Symmetrical Balance is a principal in photography which refers to how an object or objects are perfectly symmetrical. Symmetry is when an object is the exact same on each side, so the objects in the photo must be exactly the same (or the singular object exactly the same on both sides). In contrast, asymmetrical balance is when these objects are not the exact same; creating contrast for the image. This could vary from angle to color, but the point is that image doesn't mirror itself from each side. To control my light properly, I just waited until the natural light was not excessively bright. My phone camera does not react well with glare to bright light, so any positioning worked in terms of lighting due to the reduced brightness.
