Parking

The fluency of parking is essential to the success of any stadium event. Besides ingress and egress, there are other variables that must be addressed. Some attendees choose to use public transportation instead of satellite lots and buses to get to the stadium events. Tailgating is when people socialize and grill food outside their cars in stadium parking lots. Some stadium managers believe this helps promote the event, where others do their best to make sure it does not occur. There is also on-street parking, in which fans choose neither public transportation nor the stadium parking lot, but the surrounding streets where they can get a parking spot. This is often cheaper but is a farther walk. Dynamic pricing, meaning not-fixed costs, allows stadium managers to fluctuate the prices of parking depending on the amount of fans as well as the event itself. This is how they come about generating a revenue big enough for profit.
