Ingress and Egress

In a stadium event, ingress is the amount of people and traffic coming into an event, and egress is the amount leaving and coming out of an event. If there is not enough organization, traffic points will get clogged up as people try to leave, something called bottlenecks. If this happens, attendees may choose to not come to an event again. Stadium managers must put lots of thought and preparation into ingress and egress. Because a stadium parking lot can only hold so many vehicles, satellite parking is utilized. This is when other parking lots must be used for parking, and buses transport attendees to and from the satellite parking lots to the event. Ticket sellers will sell the tickets, whereas ticket takers take them from those coming into the stadium. Public transportation is methods of travel that aren't driving. And finally, Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) is a federal law that ensures stadiums be accessible to handicaps.
