DODEA requires ALL students to submit a 4-6 year Post Secondary Plan to their counselor in order to graduate. To fulfill this graduation requirement every year, WHS students will complete several tasks through SchooLinks as part of their 4-6 year Post Secondary Plan. These tasks include career and personality assessments, researching colleges, career exploration tools, and resume building.
Students login to SchooLinks through Class Link student portal.
SchooLinks is a great tool to create your post-high school plans. Access to your individual SchooLinks record allows our counselors to gain insight into your college and career interests. Using the information you provide, we can suggest a tailored set of resources to help you meet your goals.
These programs are specially designed for adults ages 18-26 who are just starting out in their careers. There are opportunities for summer programs and also for 10-month programs. Of particular interest to WHS students is that they pay for travel to and from the project. Most of the programs also include scholarship awards to be applied toward education expenses. Here is a quick list of the benefits covered by NCCC...

a modest living allowance

program-related travel expenses (including from your home of record to the training site, from there to your project, and home again after graduation)
