Celebrating Science in Europe East?
Family Engineering Challenge (March 2023)
Robinson Barracks ES , Patch Elementary School, and Stuttgart Elementary School at U.S. Army Garrison Stuttgart held a marble run challenge for students and their families. Competitors raced to build the biggest, most complicated contraption with vibrate paper and a whole lot of tape. The event was to highlight and promote STEM activities with the participants.

DoDEA 2022 Presidential Awards for Excellence in Science Teaching.
Amy Carpenter-Deyoe
Amy Carpenter-Deyoe is a fifth grade teacher at Kaiserslautern Elementary School in Europe East. She has been teaching for 14 years, three of which have been at Kaiserslautern. She has served as the school Science Leader, science fair coordinator, and science facilitator. She is also a member of the National Science Teacher Association.
Chrissy Mitchell
A third grade teacher at Stuttgart Elementary School in Europe East, Chrissy Mitchell has 18 years of experience in education. She has worked in Sasebo Elementary School, E.C. Killin Elementary School and Stearley Heights Elementary School, all located in Japan, and at the DoDEA Virtual School.
A BIG Congratulations goes to Europe East Elementary Teacher, Tiffany Kelly, a 3rd grade teacher at Stuttgart Elementary School, for being the DoDEA 2020 Science Finalist for the
Presidential Awards for Excellence in Science Teaching.
