2017-18

• Adoption of NGSS (Next Generation Science Standards) as CCRSS

• Gradual implementation of CCRSS through the FOSS Next Generation Program

• Professional learning through two district half-day quarterly science/math trainings

• Delivery of FOSS Professional Development in late release 3- day training

2018-19

• Full implementation of CCRSS through the FOSS Next Generation Program

• Focus on planning FOSS Investigations and Sense-making Discussions

• Implementation of Science Leaders in all Europe East schools

2019-20

• Implementation of Science Notebooks & Word Walls

• Execution of the Science Program Evaluations

• Offering of the Science Notebooking and Sense-making Discussions Course

2020-21

• Refinement of three-dimensional science instruction

• Refine the use of FOSS I-Check assessments

• Use of formative data in science to inform instruction & monitor student progress

2021-22

• Implementation of the new science platform, ThinkLink

• Refinement of Sense-making Discussions for three-dimensional learning

• Implement of Science Interims (three-dimensional assessments) for 2nd and 5th Grade

• Implement FOSS I-Checks (common assessment) to inform instruction and monitor student progress

    2022-23

• Refine the use of the science platform, ThinkLink

• Continue the use of FOSS I-Checks (common assessment) to inform instruction & monitor student progress (at least 1 I-Check per module)

• Refinement of Sense-making Discussions and Science Notebooks for three-dimensional learning

           2023-24

• Use the Science ThinkLink platform and its new assessment platform.

• Continue use of FOSS I-Checks (common assessment) to inform instruction & monitor student progress  (at least 2 I-Checks per module)

• Continue the refinement of Sense-making Discussions and Science Notebooks for three-dimensional learning
