Students can report a misplaced or stolen Chromebook using the QR codes located around the school.
Misplaced Chromebook Procedures
Step 1: Student reports misplaced Chromebook using QR code. If theft is the reason for the loss, the student and parent/sponsor must provide a police report associated with the theft.
Step 2: The HHS Misplaced Chromebook Student Search Log is given to the student to complete.
Step 3: If the student finds their Chromebook, they return the search log to a teacher/AO/IS.
Step 4: If the student does not find the Chromebook, they return the completed search log and a replacement device is issued.
Step 5: The student and parent/sponsor will be required to review and sign the HHS Replacement Device Responsible Use Agreement before being issued the replacement Chromebook.
Step 6: The IS issues a replacement device, which must be returned to the IC at the end of every school day.
Step 7: Administration initiates an investigation, and the parent/sponsor is notified of investigation.
Step 8: If the investigation determines negligence, the parent/sponsor will be informed and will be liable to pay a determined sum.
