Please, please, please return all of the AAPS books to the ECK office especially "The Mysterious Benedict Society" Series and the Junior Great Books that 4th grade has out. It is very difficult for me to replace these books due to the restrictions in government ordering.
If you have any other books from the year out from AAPS, please return them to ECK as well.
Please answer my messages that I send you on your e-mail and through Google Classroom. If you are having difficulty with an assignment, I am not able to assist you if I do not know about it.
Pandemic Journal- Continue writing in your journal at least one page each day. I will give you a list of topics for you to choose from each day, and I will likely update it with fresh topics at least once.
Time Capsule- Finish up your time capsule project. I am also going to give you a choice of some optional things to add to it.
Finish any projects that you have not turned in, UNLESS I have spoken with you or your parents and made alternative ways to handle the assignments due to your family's particular situation during COVID-19.
Please continue checking here daily. I will post new information that you need to know each day, and maybe a fun thing or two until the end of school.
If you do need any extra challenges and/or enrichment... AND you have finished all of the work I have assigned- message me!
Any questions- please contact me!
I very much enjoyed this explanation.
Your hands, up close, are anything but smooth. With peaks and valleys, folds and rifts, there are plenty of hiding places for a virus to stick. If you then touch your face, the virus can infect you. But there are two extraordinarily simple ways you can keep that from happening: soap and water, and hand sanitizer. So which is better?
Learn how soap and water works like a crowbar to destroy viruses like coronavirus, and how hand sanitizer works more like an earthquake. This TED-Ed animation from Alex Rosenthal and Pall Thordarson, animated by Igor Coric, demonstrates how each works. They also explain why, whenever possible, handwashing with soap and water for twenty seconds is your best bet.
