I was so proud of all my students that participated in the talent show!
That takes a lot of courage to show all your friends and those that you don't know all of your hard work!

True story from Ms. Pipkin- I took piano lessons for 2 or 3 years and refused to ever perform in the annual recital. I also was terrible at remembering to practice every day so I wasn't much of a musician at all... and I don't remember anything I learned! There are so many of you that that are great musicians- piano, keyboard, guitar, ukulele. I hope you keep at it. It is also terrific for your brain, especially in the math area!

Another true story- I also studied voice for several years. I was slightly better at singing than piano, and I did much better at practicing. However, I was still too shy to sing a solo on stage at the voice recital. I still love to sing, but I never do it in front of anyone. I am so proud of all those that were brave, and shared their lovely voices in the show!

We also had an AAPS student dance, and another AAPS student recite poetry! Now both of these I did do! My whole life I studied all forms of dance, and in high school I started competing in competitive speech with poetry being one of my favorite events. I hope both of these students keep it up because I am qualified to say they definitely have talent in these areas.

Who knew that Thursday in March when some of you found out in AAPS that the school would be closing until Spring Break- it was actually closing for the year?

I am so fortunate to have so many of you returning to ECK next year! Cross your fingers 🤞🏻that we will beat out this pandemic worldwide because we have important school business to do!

I am so sad that this is how the year had to end for my 5th graders that are moving up to middle school. Please come back and see me when it is safe to do so again!
