All AAPS 2nd-5th Grade!

I have placed your AAPS Journal, AAPS Binder, and anything else that I may have found that belongs to you in a large Ziploc bag on the grade level tables in the ECK Gymnasium.

If there is something you left in my room that is not in the bag, message me and I will look for it the next time I am at school.

I have also placed rewards for challenges and exceptional projects that you have completed during e-learning in the bag. If you think I missed giving you a prize that you earned, message me and we will discuss.

In this delightful short video, watch filmmaker Philipp Klein Herrero get horizontal for an ascent, and then ski descent, of a pile of sheets on his floor. Herrero writes, "Just before the current health situation locked us in, I was about to go Freeriding with my family. It was supposed to be the big adventure of the year, the one I had been eagerly awaiting for a year. Therefore, the lockdown had me thinking about skiing the whole time, so I started to think how I could ski without leaving my living room."

It is fun to see how clothing styles change and/or how much they stay the same. For example: When I was in elementary school, I had a pair of pink Van's shoes with hearts. I have seen similar Van's shoes on kids today.

It's a little chilly today... you might want to grab your coat because we are going to Switzerland!

As you might recall, Ms. Pipkin is very afraid of heights, and this includes bridges. Explore the Zhangjiajie Glass Bridge, the world’s longest and highest glass bridge, suspended 260 metres (853 feet) above the ground in the Zhangjiajie National Forest Park of Hunan province.

A walk through the glass bridge can be compared to a skywalk: you have a feeling there is nothing under your feet and it seems you are flying above the ground. The idea of creating such a breathtaking effect has long been brought to life: for example, some of the constructions of Tower Bridge that was built at the end of the 19th century have glass inserts. But the first fully glassed bridges began to be constructed only in the 21st century because only by this time technologies could guarantee safety and strength of the materials.
