As part of my course, I had to complete a mock interview which would be for a job in the industry. I chose to apply for the role of the camera operator.
Before my interview, I did some research into the job role and the company I was applying for so that I knew what the company was about and so I could prepare myself for some of the possible questions that could be asked.
When I watch back the interview, I notice that I appear very nervous as I am very fidgety. As I was nervous, I was constantly trying to distract myself and I was doing this by holding my hands in different ways, cracking my knuckles, scratching my legs etc.
When answering the questions I got asked in the interview I always paused before asking the question and when I did answer the questions, the answers were very broken up as I kept pausing part way through.
When answering the questions I also notice that when I do know the answer, I use a lot of hand gestures to help explain the answer.
I always kept the answers short and quick and didn't go into too much detail.
To conclude, there are a lot of areas I can improve upon the main area I need to improve on is my confidence in my answers and not worrying about saying the wrong thing too much. I have noticed that I should also work on how I talk and be more confident with it and then make sure that I keep it consistent.
