Dear Franklin Families,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! We are thrilled to begin this new academic year and to welcome all of our Brilliant Falcons. This marks the start of a journey full of curiosity, growth, and discovery, and we are honored to be your partners along the way.
Franklin Elementary is more than a school—it is a diverse community where every child is known, valued, and celebrated. With a history dating back to 1910 and a newly renovated building, we blend tradition with innovation. We are proud to have an amazing staff who is deeply dedicated and works diligently every day to ensure that all students receive the best possible education. Our classrooms, STEAM lab, library, and creative arts spaces provide the perfect environment for students to learn and thrive.
Our school mission is to create an inclusive, engaging learning environment where all students feel safe and inspired. This year, our focus will be on:
Academic Growth – joyful, rigorous learning for all students
Whole-Child Development – supporting social-emotional well-being, creativity, and confidence
Student Voice – centering student voice in planning, decision-making, and classroom culture
Strong Partnerships – working closely with families and the community
We ask families to support regular attendance, maintain healthy routines at home, and communicate openly with teachers. Throughout the year, we will host several school events, and we encourage families to actively participate. Engaging in these events not only creates wonderful memories but also strengthens our school community.
Safety and fostering a positive school climate are priorities at Franklin. Please talk with your child regularly about being active in their learning and following school expectations. Please also encourage kindness, respect, and inclusion to help us maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all.
Thank you for entrusting us with your child’s education. Together, we will ensure every Brilliant Falcon soars to new heights. Let’s make this a year of curiosity, achievement, and celebration!
With excitement and gratitude,
Mrs. Arlette Johnson
