A big thank you to all the families who participated in Parent-Teacher Conferences! We had a wonderful turnout and great family engagement. Your partnership makes such a difference in our students’ success.
This week, we continue celebrating Red Ribbon Week, kick off Homework and Hoops, and get ready for a fun-filled Spirit Week ahead!
We had over 30 beautifully decorated cars and so many happy kids in creative costumes! The weather was perfect, and the energy was amazing. Thank you to everyone who donated candy, decorated trunks, and helped make such special memories — every child went home with tons of candy and big smiles! 🍬
It was especially heartwarming to see our Franklin alumni visit! We loved hearing about all the wonderful things they’re doing — and how much they still miss Franklin. It truly reminds us what a caring and connected community we are building together. ❤️

Our Teachers’ Goals = More Opportunities for Students!
This month, Ms. Pinto and I held goal-setting meetings with all of our staff. Our teachers are setting goals to help every student grow and shine! Some of their focus areas include:
Strong Literacy Skills: Using reading programs, nonfiction texts, and new vocabulary to help students read, write, and understand more.
Clarity in Learning: Making sure students know what they are learning, how to do it, and why it matters.
Student Voice & Leadership: Students are leading debates, research projects, and clubs to share ideas, make choices, and explore their creativity.
Collaboration & Learning: Teachers are learning together, trying new strategies, observing lessons, and participating in professional development such as Science of Reading, HILL and HMH coaching, purposeful play, and administrative leadership classes.
Family Connection: Families are a key part of student success! Supporting learning at home, helping students maintain healthy routines, school habits, and regular attendance, and maintaining two-way communication with teachers all strengthen student growth. We’re also planning workshops to help families engage with our priorities at home.
Social-Emotional Growth: Students are practicing teamwork, communication, and problem-solving through play and structured activities.
Every goal our teachers set strengthens learning, supports student growth, and builds skills that help students succeed now and in the future. Thank you to our Franklin team for their creativity, dedication, and heart! 💛
