Leads professional learning to cultivate broader understanding of the skills that comprise success in a digital age (e.g. critical thinking, information literacy, digital citizenship, technology).
Library Media Specialists create video tutorials, websites, and digital handouts for teachers on technology tools and resources, which allows for on-demand access
The LMS at all buildings continually provide personalized professional learning in a variety of formats (large group, small group, and individual), both planned and at point of need
LMS train students and staff to use Destiny (the library catalog) to find books of interest to promote literacy
LMS train students and staff how to find and use eBooks and audiobooks to promote literacy
LMS present trainings on new technology at staff meetings and district-wide professional development days, including AI tools
The District pays for each LMS to attend one conference per year
LMS share information learned from conferences with each other and staff once back in the buildings
Share relevant professional learning resources such as articles and tutorials through email or in person
