What is the Behavior Reflection Sheet?
As a middle school team, we created the behavior reflection sheet to give students the opportunity to reflect on their behavior before taking further action. Together, we feel that it is important for students to think about how their actions may affect others and the learning environment. If a student receives a behavior reflection sheet, their teacher has had to give them multiple reminders in class before it was issued. Students will then fill out the sheet during empower and meet with the teacher that gave the reflection sheet to talk through the incident. Parents will be contacted so that they do not feel blindsided by this sheet coming home.Â
Questions that are on the Behavior Reflection Sheet:
What choices were you making?
Which part of our social contract were you breaking by making these choices?
Why were you making these choices?
How may these choices affect other students in our classroom?
What are you going to do to make sure you are upholding our social contract in the future?
The Behavior Reflection Form will not follow students. It is only being used as an opportunity for students to reflect on their behavior and allow them to make more responsible choices in the future.
