Trinity Exam Information MAY 2020

2020 Exam: May 25th - May 29th

Information for Saint Maur Students / Parents

Thank you for taking the Trinity exam. Students need to come to the exam with a copies of their music and be prepared to play the pieces decided. Please arrive at least 30 minutes prior to your exam to check in with the teacher present. Check in will be in the large dressing room located in the Fine Auditorium. Please make sure to follow the signs on the doors if you are unsure on the location. Below are resources for students taking the exam.

TRINITY Piano accompaniment Information

NOT APPLICABLE TO PIANO, GUITAR, OR DRUM KIT STUDENTS

Exam Grades 1-6

Please note that in order to take the Trinity Examination you need to play with a piano accompanist. For Saint Maur students taking Grades 1 - 6 the Music Department will organize and schedule an accompanist for you. Below are the extra fees for the rehearsals as well as for the exam:

Trinity Grades 1 ~ 2 : 4,000 Yen - One 15 minute rehearsal with a designated accompanist + Trinity Exam

Trinity Grades 3 ~ 4 : 5,000 Yen - One 20 minute rehearsal with a designated accompanist + Trinity Exam

Trinity Grades 5 ~ 6 : 6,000 Yen - Two 15 minute of rehearsal with a designated accompanist + Trinity Exam

Exam Grades 7 and above

Please note that in order to take the Trinity Examination you need to play with a piano accompanist. For Saint Maur students taking 7 and above the Music Department will not organize a piano accompanist for you. You will be responsible in organising your own rehearsal schedule and any of the expense incurred. Below is a list of recommended piano accompanist that have experience with the exam:

All Saint Maur students with conflicts need to see Mr. Griggs personally. Please also make sure to check to see if there are any conflicts with your piano accompanist and share the schedule with them as well.
