Here at Saint Maur we don't just have drummers, we have percussionists. Percussionists play all the instruments of the percussion family and are responsible for adding interesting sounds and color to our band. In order to aid and further develop our percussion section, middle school percussionist are required to join percussion ensemble as part of their graded coursework. Students in the ensemble will work on exciting music that is specifically composed for their instruments. Will will work on things like hand coordination, mallet technique, and learning the things required to play the instruments.

Percussion ensemble meets on Friday's after school from 3:30-4:30 pm and is only available to students in the ms band percussion section.

This year the percussion group will be lead by Mr Atsu Fukushima, our resident percussion teacher and will be at a cost of 1000 yen per student per week.
