Starting in fifth grade, all Saint Maur students begin studying a Wind Ensemble Instrument as part of their academics. In the Middle School each grade level band practices three times every two weeks during the school day. We focus on performance techniques, musicality, and growing as an ensemble. In grade 7 and 8, students participate in competitions in the Tokyo/Kanagawa areas with other International Schools. Saint Maur also offers after school clubs focusing on other music disciplines that are not in the curriculum.
