6th grade started the year by celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month - We watched the Costa Rican parade in real time and created papel mache decorations for the school.

As part of our Hispanic Countries unit, students worked on giving directions to find countries on the map.
The 7A and 7B ladies got together to create and present a Costa Rican folkloric dance. The whole student body witnessed the amazing performance done by these chicas. They worked super hard, and it was a great performance.

8th grade students demonstrated their knowledge of Spanish subjects by creating and presenting a lesson to teach their classmates. Student led classes were interactive and fun, giving students the opportunity to see themselves in a leadership position. It gave them an idea of what it is like to be a teacher.
