Team Building
Welcome back to the 2025- 2026 school year! Everyone is off to a great start! Our Junior High classes are doing a nice job working with each other on different team building activities. Way to go!

After watching the Chicago Wolves play earlier in the trimester, we are very inspired to show off our floor hockey skills!

Cross Net Volleyball
Students have been participating in a game of cross net. It is a very fun and exciting game that incorporates volleyball and traditional 4- square. Let the game begin!!

Dancing with Class
All of our 6th graders did a fantastic job learning the first few steps of merengue! By the end of the 11th week, everyone will become pro ballroom dancers! Lights, Camera, Action!

Volleyball
Volleyball has become a big hit! Students have been practicing their serves and volleys over the net! Way to go!
January 2025 8th Grade Yoga
Our 8th Graders have been learning about flexibility by demonstrating different yoga stretches. Flexibility is an important component of Fitness. This can allow students to work on their range of motion of a joint or muscle. Students can easily apply them during their sports practices or even at home!
January 2025 Ultimate Frisbee
Happy New Year! Junior High immediately began an Ultimate Frisbee unit after the Winter Break. Students reviewed how to properly catch the frisbee and throw with accuracy. Nice job!

Basketball
Students have been eager to start a Basketball unit! They have been enjoying practicing their skills through different activities and ending with a scrimmage!

Fitness Gram Physical Test
Students have been putting their best effort forward while participating in the Pacer (running) test, sit ups, and push ups! Excellent work!

Skeletal System
8A and 8B integrated science and art together into their PE curriculum! They matched puzzle pieces of the Skeletal System! Students have been drawing a creative skeletal skull in Art. Nice job everyone!

Students are enjoying playing against each other during a game of Badminton. Their hand-eye coordination is on point!

Cultural Dances
Every year Junior High learns different cultural dances. Each class works together to listen to the music, count to the beat, and be in sync!

Soccer
Students started their first sport unit of the school year! Students have been running up and down the court playing Soccer. They participated in many drills to warm up. We love to break a sweat in class!

Welcome back to the new school year! We kicked off the year with many different team building activities! Students have been collaborating and connecting through various fun and engaging exercises! Looking forward to the school year unwinding!

Read, Set, GO!! Students have been playing different sports and games this year such as pickleball, soccer, and dance! The gym is always filled with lots of action! There is never a dull moment in sight!

Students are focusing on a volleyball unit before the school year comes to an end! They are really working on doing 3 passes before the ball goes over the net. Great teamwork everyone!

It's floor hockey time! Students show their motivation as they play against their classmates. Way to go!

Pillo Polo
Junior high has started pillo polo as their new sport unit! It is a game played similar to field hockey. Students have been demonstrating proper stick handling, shooting, running, and passing.

Dancing with Class
The 6th graders have been learning different ballroom dances for the past couple of weeks. They have learned the merengue, swing, and waltz! They have 3 more to go! (Soon enough, they'll be ready to go on "Dancing with the Stars!")

8th grade students were welcomed back with a game called eclipse ball. Eclipse ball is a similar version of tennis. Way to go!

Satryan Ball (pronounced like "Saturn")
6th and 7th grade students were welcomed back with a game that involves all 4 sports. These included handball, ultimate frisbee, soccer, and basketball. You were able to throw, catch, kick, or toss the satryan ball into the hoop or net in order to score. Well done!

Ultimate Frisbee! Students did a good job communicating with their teammates as they passed the frisbee towards the end zone! Good job!
October 3rd- 14th
Catching is a skill that is highly emphasized in P.E. Therefore, students have been playing lead up games to handball. They will eventually transition from handball to ultimate frisbee. Look at them go!
September 19th - 30th
Soccer! The first unit that JH has been working on. We reviewed many skills from dribbling to passing, and to finally learning the scissor kick! We also learned about the World Cup and how it is being hosted this year in Qatar!
September 5th- 16th
Students in 8th grade had the opportunity to collaborate together and create their own games. There were many variations of basketball and volleyball that involved an exciting twist that everyone could participate in! Way to think outside of the box!
August 22nd - September 2nd
Teamwork makes the dream work! We started off the school year with different team building activities such as stacking blocks and running down a "zip line" course. Students did an impressive job communicating and taking turns with each other. Looking forward to another active school year! Welcome back everyone!
