St Mary’s College Parents’ Association

The primary role of the St. Mary’s Parent’s Association is to promote the interests of the students in the school in co-operation with the Board of Management, Principal, Teachers and Pupils.

The Parents’ Association forms a Committee which is made up of representatives of both Junior and Senior School. Two representatives of each year are elected from the parent body, annually and take the role of Class Representative on for a period of no more than 3 years. The committee meets once per month during the school calendar year.

The tasks taken on by the Committee during the year include, collating and distributing contact details for all parents in each year, organising social meetings with the parents in each year, organising the annual St. Mary’s College Parent’s Association Social for all parents of the school, assisting the Principals, by way of consultation, in the production of relevant School Policy Documents, helping to raise funds for groups such as the St. Mary’s Parents Choir, in partnership with the school providing sub-committees to assist as requested, providing scribes and readers for house exams, producing a Newsletter each term and much more.

If you have any wish to express a view, share ideas or offer assistance, please contact either your own Class Representative or any member of the Executive Committee.

We wish all our boys, Principals, Teachers and Board of Management and of course parents and guardians continued success in all their pursuits and activities and we look forward to another great year at St. Mary’s College.
