St. Mary’s is an academic school where boys are expected to continue to third level education. 

There is an emphasis on written homework, rigorous study programmes, and constant monitoring of progress. 

Parents are kept informed by reports home every month and students sit full formal examinations twice yearly.

Transition Year

Transition Year is compulsory after Junior Certificate. 

This programme is broadly based with an emphasis on an academic core-curriculum balanced with new subject-areas such as Personal Development, Community Service and Work Experience.

Religious Education

Three subjects from History, Geography, Accounting, Business, Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Art, Technology, Physical Education
