At St. Martha Catholic School, the 8th Grade Physical Education and Health program emphasizes the importance of lifelong physical activity and personal responsibility for health and wellness. Students are encouraged to participate for both enjoyment and challenge, building confidence and resilience through a variety of physical and health-related experiences. The program promotes growth in skill, fitness, social awareness, and self-understanding—all within a Christ-centered environment.
This final stage of the K–8 program prepares students for high school-level physical education by reinforcing fitness principles, strategic gameplay, health literacy, and the understanding of how personal behaviors impact health across the lifespan.
