St. Martha Catholic School – 3rd Grade Physical Education & Health Curriculum
At St. Martha Catholic School, we believe that physical activity is essential in helping students develop the skills, habits, and attitudes needed for a healthy and balanced lifestyle. Our 3rd Grade Physical Education and Health program focuses on fundamental movement skills, fitness, safety, and social development—all rooted in Christian values and a commitment to nurturing the whole child: body, mind, and spirit.
Students engage in developmental activities that introduce elements of isometric exercise, while using space, time, and energy to enhance their understanding of movement. Through a variety of games and structured activities, they begin to build strategic thinking, practice safe behaviors, and demonstrate Christian-like conduct that fosters spiritual growth, self-confidence, and a positive self-image.
