Performance management conversations play a crucial role in shaping an employee’s workplace experience. As HR professionals, how are we equipping leaders to adapt these conversations to effectively support a multigenerational workforce?
This action research project explored strategies for tailoring performance management conversations—including both performance improvement and professional development feedback—to meet the needs of different generations in the workplace. The study examined perceptions of each generation, as well as generational preferences related to receiving performance feedback.
This presentation will share key insights into generational perceptions within the workplace, highlight how each generation prefers to receive performance feedback, and provide leaders with practical tools and resources to support effective, meaningful performance conversations tailored to a multigenerational workforce.
