Christ Forgives

We looked ahead to the Fifth Sunday of Lent this week and the theme of forgiveness.  Teachers of the Law bring a woman to Jesus whose sin is so significant, they say she should be stoned!  Jesus famously responds by inviting anyone who is without sin to throw the first one.  The crowd disperse, seeing the logic to his argument.

We have explored with the children this week that being slow to judge and quick to forgive are healthy ways to approach our relationships with others.  We can avoid resentment and grow in virtue by thinking the best of others and giving them the opportunity to move forwards positively.
