Not Even The King
This song is a duet sung by Ella and Aimee recorded during lockdown. Singing has always been a passion of ours and performing at The St Jo's Arts Festival has become a major event in our calendar for the last 8 years! We first performed this song 5 years ago and from then on this song, and its message, has always had a place in our hearts. We both joined the school in Year 7 and our passion for music continued to grow with the help of the amazingly talented staff and students. Our shared love of music and the arts has always been evident and our close friendship has always helped us to perform with passion and emotion; particularly in this song as it highlights just what a bond between two people is worth.
Aimee: Since leaving St Jo's have recently completed a 1 year intensive musical theatre course and will soon be starting a degree course at BIMM (British and Irish Modern Music) Institute studying Music Performance and Songwriting. I regularly gig in bars and venues in and around Ipswich and have been performing many online gigs due to the current situation.
Ella: I now study Marine and Natural History photography at Falmouth University, but I continue to sing and hope one day to achieve my diploma in classical singing, I have joined a choir at university and am really enjoying continuing my love of music with new people. The arts festival means so much to me and to many more students past and present and having this Arts Festival now is more important than ever.
I hope you enjoy our music and we can't wait to come back to St Jos when everything is back to normal as the School and it's Arts Festival mean so much to us.
