Brandon GriffIths

After leaving St Joseph’s College in 2011 I moved on to read photography at The University of Hertfordshire. I always had a passion for sport and played a lot of sport at St Jos so I continued this at university and through to my career. I focused nearly all of my work at university around sport, and always linked it to whatever project we had to do. Whilst at university I was able to get a lot of work experience at magazines and working for Snowsport England. I also always had a passion for film, and made my final major project a hybrid between everything which interests me which resulted in a sports based moving image shot with 35mm film!

I graduated in 2014 with first class honours and went on to work for myself straight away, initially working under the brand of Colour Media and BrandonFoto. I went on to (and still do) freelance for various picture agencies to photograph the highest level of sport in the UK. This includes Premier League Football, International and county cricket and rugby; with the highlight of my career being able to cover the 2015 Rugby World Cup. From there with a lot of hard work and determination I continued to pursue a career in sports photography whilst also growing my own business producing various content for clients. I also started producing more film work, and whilst I still do photography the majority of my work is now in film. This led to me meeting my current business partner and starting Prizm Productions. I now get to travel the world producing a wide range of content for clients big and small; with one of our regular clients being St Joseph’s College! I truly love what I do, and would not change anything in my career so far, all the highs and lows have allowed me to get to the point I am today; and none of this would have been possible without the solid grounding and confidence I gained from being at St Joseph’s College.
