School Theme for the Week is Sports Day.
Click on the Sports Week tab to find all the activities I've outlined below.
English:
1. Reading
*Take the blue Star Reading Test on Accelerated Reader. Password is ‘admin’ all small letters*
2. Recount Writing
Write a short piece recounting your favourite sports day in St John of God.
3. Free Writing
Design your own sports day activity. You can be as creative as you like, it does not have to be a ‘traditional’ sports day activity. See template on class web page.
Maths
1. Master Your Maths
Begin a new week doing one each day Mon to Thurs + next Friday test.
2. Maths Activities on Class Web Page
There are two sports day maths mysteries on our class web page. One is more difficult than the other. Attempt both and see if you can solve the mystery. The answers are included at the bottom of the documents but don’t peak as that defeats the challenge, they are only there so you can see if you were correct.
Gaeilge
1. Write out and learn comprehension questions 13 & 14.
2. Sin É 5 P 140.
3. Sin É 5 Irregular Verbs page 133 & 138 – Téigh – to go ... Tá – to be. Learn and complete the activities.

P.E.
1. Go to the website above and click on Virtual Sports Day. This will take you to a web page containing a wide range of sports day activites. Aim to do at least 3 activities each day and track your accomplishments throughout the week

4. Sustained Running – Continue running for a sustained period of time. We want to be able to run a 3/5K by the end of June J

Create, draw and describe a St John of God sports day mascot. See document on class web page.
