School Theme for the Week is Cake, Plant & Craft Sale

English:

1. Reading

*Take the blue Star Reading Test on Accelerated Reader. Password is ‘admin’ all small letters*

2. Book Report

Write a detailed book report on your favourite Accelerated Reader book this year.

3. Procedure Writing

Write out the procedure for making your favourite cake or bun. Pretend you’re cooking it for the Cake and Plant sale.

4. 6^th Class

Write two short pieces entitled ‘My Hopes and Dreams for the Future’ & ‘My Favourite Memory from St John of God’. You should remember these from the 6^th class last year.

Maths

1. Master Your Maths

Begin a new week doing one each day Mon to Thurs + next Friday test.

2. Maths Activities on Class Web Page

There are 12 maths challenge cards on our class web page.

Gaeilge

1. Revise comprehension question 1 to 7.

P.E.

1. We would usually have our Jogathon this week so pick a day and try run that 3k/5k we have been building up to the past few weeks. It would be great if you could let me know how you got on, I’d love to hear from you.

2. Try to do 10 minutes Yoga each day. You can use the cards from last week. They’re on our class web page under Sports Week.

Art

Keeping our Cake, Plant and Craft Sale in mind, design and make a craft that you think would be really popular if we had our sale. Email me a picture of your craft to be in with the chance to win a 20 euro voucher.

Baking

Bake something tasty this week, it would be great to link this to your procedure writing J Again, email me a picture of your baking to be in with the chance to win a 20 euro voucher.
